After hitting the water on Trout Lake on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer months, the Team was excited to return to Christie Lake to complete in their one and only festival for 2024.
The Team came in 2nd in their 200 m preliminary race (1:05.31), followed by 3rd in the Women’s C Division 200 m Championship Race (1:05.38).
The other ‘fun’ races, which are quite unique to this festival included the 200 m Back It Down Race (paddling backwards), with a 2nd place finish [Combined F Division] and the 200 m Mystery Race, which involved the Team having to paddle blindfolded. They finished in 3rd place.
Finally, there was the individual Figure 8 event, with the time of 2:50.75, for 26th place.
