Wow! September 9th was a great day out on Osprey Links for the Warriors 18th Annual Golf tournament. We had perfect weather; the course was in perfect condition, and the crowd had a perfect time – if the laughter and number of people who said they’d be back next year was any indication.
Thank you to all our golfers who supported the team through their attendance and by buying 50/50 tickets and Mulligans. There were many familiar faces in the crowd and a bunch of new faces too; we were thrilled to see all of you and are so very grateful for your support. Special thanks to the generosity of two of our winners – Rob McDonald and Tom Sullivan – for donating back their winnings and to Jim and Hilary Vandrunen, who joined the tournament for the first time from out of town and made a generous donation at the end of the day.
The Golf Committee would also like to give a big thank you to Jeff and his whole team at Osprey Links. Once again, they did an excellent job hosting our group. We also want to thank all our hole sponsors whose signs you saw around the greens. Please check out their names in the pictures and please, thank them by patronizing their businesses. We cannot forget our main sponsors, Country 90.5 FM CFCH, whose advertising and financial support these last few years has made a tremendous difference in our success. Even though Kevin Oschesfki was unable to play in the tournament this year, we were thrilled he stopped by in the morning to say hello – wearing a very cool pair of pink pants I must say.
